3 Sep 2014 In Civ V you never really have any friends ever, they always just backstab you, and they don't backstab you in a smart way they just sorta do it. Denouncing feels like a bandaid in many ways and warmongering penalties are illogical, and annoying. In every way AI is vastly superior in Civ IV vs Civ V.
best: civ4: working multiplayer, cottages, it's fast-paced civ5: hard decisions about when/where/how to settle instead of city spam (vanilla only). worst: civ4: ai isn't great. games can be very formulaic civ5: ai is awful(way worse than civ4). expansions took out all the strategy from the game. global happiness.
